The early years are the most powerful time in a child's life. Before children enter elementary school is the best time to directly impact a child's lifelong understanding of the world. Every day NCCDI employees spark imagination, build self-esteem, and help children discover, explore, and create. Families today live under tremendous demands. Our family service staff are there to help make change possible by providing resources, instilling hope, and by helping families reach their personal goals.

Employment with NCCDI can be a rewarding career.  We offer employment opportunities for Center Staff including Teachers, Advocates, and Food Service Workers.  Home based services and operations offer a variety of positions from Home Visitors to Management.

Opportunities in the Following Types of Programs

Child care centers serve children ages 3-5 years and provide a world rich with discovery and exploration. Skilled, sensitive teachers guide children through their development, celebrating each child's individuality and encouraging a strong foundation of learning through our High Scope Curriculum. Our center environments are innovative and inspiring work environments.

Home Base Programs serve children pregnant moms and children ages 0-5 years. This program emphasizes parents as the primary teacher. Home visitors spend one and a half hours weekly in family home facilitating parent education, child development activities, and providing resources. In addition two monthly socializations provide opportunities for parents and children to enjoy classrooms and participate in field trips.

Mental Health Programs - The NCCDI LCSW and MFT internship program provides an opportunity for those working to complete their professional certification to carry a case load of clients in need of family and/or individual counseling services, conduct group sessions, and gain important experience to support their professional practice. Therapist interns have access to our generous stipend program, on-going training resources, state of the art Parent Child Interaction Therapy Room, and discreet counseling facilities.

Support Staff - Running our program is a big job! Our support staff is made up of talented individuals who bring their creativity, skills, and passion to work each day.

We all play a vital role in ensuring that we provide the very best care for children and their families while caring for each other. This spirit of caring is shared by each member of the NCCDI family, from our most experienced long-term office staff, to the recently hired assistant teacher in the classroom. Although we have different responsibilities, we all contribute to make our culture special. Our achievement culture is dependent on involvement from all members of our company.
