Infant Center-Based Option
At Tehama County Early Head Start we understand the importance of providing a loving, safe, and stimulating environment for infants. We understand the importance of emotional attachments with parents and loving caregivers and that these delicate formative months can shape a baby’s view of the world. In our center-based programs in both Corning and Red Bluff, babies as young as six weeks old benefit from low staff to baby ratios and small group sizes of no more than eight babies per room. Primary Caregivers have optimal time to hug, feed, cuddle, play and interact with each child individually.
Age appropriate toys and equipment make discovering the world fun and interesting. A safe environment ensures children will develop in healthy ways while putting your mind at ease.
Infant curricula are individualized depending on the age and developmental stage of each child. By using the nationally recognized High Scope Curriculum teachers in our center-based program can monitor and enhance fine and gross motor development, language development, and social skills. Indoor and outdoor activities are part of each day’s activities.
