Community Counseling Program
NCCDI’’s Community Counseling Program provides a safe, important and belonging environment to individuals and families throughout the entire lifespan and helps them build on their strengths and develop tools to cope with unexpected challenges, such as family conflict, divorce, substance abuse, parenting, readjusting after war, overcoming discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, or caring for an aged parent.
The Community Counseling Program is supervised by a LCSW and is dedicated to supporting community access to high quality therapy. The program is staffed by MSW’s and MFT’s who are licensed
interns. Every person who walks through our doors receives the highest quality evidence-based individual and family services in an environment that supports individual and group needs. Currently we provide several types of counseling;
Child / Adolescent Counseling
Is your child having difficulty at home or in school? Is your child unhappy, withdrawn, or out of control? Help is available. By working mutually with you, your child and school personnel as necessary, we will help design an effective solution for everyone.
Couples Therapy
Do you want to make a good relationship better or rebuild one that may be fading - we can help. Based on cognitive-behavioral and problem-solving approaches, we will help you to repair and strengthen your relationship
Family Therapy
Often children experience problems that involve the entire family. We provide therapy that will help identify your concerns, pinpoint any maladaptive patterns of interaction or in-ability to cope while offering solutions to improve each area.
Adult Therapy
Do you feel “stuck” and can't seem to change how you think, feel, and act? We can help you realize your negative patterns, and offer ways to cope and change these to better your life.
Marriage and family therapists work with individuals, couples, and families. Unlike other types of mental health professionals, they bring a family-centered perspective to treatment, even when treating individuals. They evaluate family roles and development, to understand how clients’ families affect their mental health. They treat the clients’ relationships, not just the clients themselves. They address issues, such as low self-esteem, stress, addiction, and substance abuse. NCCDI looks forward to working with you and your family.
