Stepping Stones Classrooms
The Stepping Stones Head Start Preschool Model is unique in that it is a behavioral intervention approach designed for success. NCCDI strongly believes that children are dependent upon the adults who care for them. Children are not usually capable of making behavior changes without adult support. Therefore, we believe that Our Steps to Success comprehensive behavioral intervention program will support parents, caregivers and the child using the safe, important and belonging model. The program retains a Marriage Family Therapist who oversees the mental health component along with three classroom teachers who are trained Behavioral Specialists. The Stepping Stones Program is very successful in dealing with families who may feel they need extra support in getting behaviors under control. Stepping Stones interventions include; family case management, behavior modification techniques, combination center/ home based pre-k model and low child to teacher ratios to ensure family child success. This unique behavioral model provides the five essential elements needed for family and child success.
